Does UAi include free tokens for every model?
No. Local models have no provider token charge, but use your computer's resources and electricity. Optional cloud connections use your own provider account and its allowances or paid rates.
What computer do I need?
Local chat builds support Apple Silicon Macs, Intel Macs, and Windows x64. Learning Studio supports Apple Silicon and Windows x64; Windows training uses CPU. Allow at least 3 GB free for training setup, plus space for your chosen teacher. The included student has 135 million parameters. Actual speed depends on your device.
Is this a new model that beats Claude or Gemini?
No. UAi starts with existing open models and teaches a small student using reviewed examples. Small experiments are useful for learning; improvements on a few test prompts do not establish broad capability.
What does the US$10 price cover?
The proposed offer is a one-time purchase of the official desktop package. Sales and delivery are not active until checkout is configured. Source code is MIT licensed, which permits redistribution. Cloud services and future paid offerings are separate.
Does it read my personal files?
UAi uses its own folder and the prompts and files you explicitly provide. It has no document scanning or background training. Chat and training data are stored locally without application-level encryption. The native runtime is not a complete operating-system filesystem sandbox.
Is it ready for a public launch?
This is a preview. Apple Silicon local chat and training have been tested. Windows and Intel Mac builds still need testing on physical machines. Public retail release also needs publisher signing, checkout delivery, and a security review.
